What We’re Looking For
No prior experience is required, but it’s a bonus if you’ve worked in journalism or have skills in video, audio, and social media. What matters most is your passion for spiked’s pro-freedom, pro-human politics, dedication, eagerness to learn, a keen eye for stories, and a flair for writing.
What You’ll Gain

Application Process
The internship begins in April, with interviews in March. Applications close on Sunday, 23 February. To apply, email internships@spiked-online.com with the following:
- CV and Cover Letter: Introduce yourself, explain why you’re a great fit, and why you want to work at spiked.
- Opinion Piece: Write a 500-word opinion piece on a recent news story, showcasing concision, clarity, and timeliness. Include a strong headline and standfirst in spiked’s style.
- Pitch: In 300 words, pitch a fresh idea for a video report or podcast guest. For podcasts, include questions for the guest; for videos, outline how you’d bring the story to life.
